The classical Luxo lamp, the forerunner of all articulated self-balancing luminaires. A traditional and popular symmetrical luminaire for offices, industry and at home.

• supplied with an L-arm with external springs and a parallel motion feature, which always keeps the head horizontal to the surface

L-1 has been distinguished by all the most prestigious awards in the world of industrial design:

1. In 1954 it was featured by the Illinois Institute of Technology Fortune’s list of the 100 best products ever made;
2. between 1958 and 1972 it was awarded 1st prize for “Norwegian Design” in three separate years;
3. it is the four times winner of "IF/Industrie Form" in Hanover;
4. in 1974 it received the "SMAU Industrial Design" award and
5. in 1993 it received "Klassikerprisen" by the Norwegian Design council.
